Michael Ting is a co-founding partner at TechKnowledge Law Group LLP, and the head of the firm's Attorney Recruiting Committee. Michael has litigated cases involving complex technology in Federal District Court for both Plaintiffs and Defendants. Michael has also represented Complainants and Respondents in numerous U.S. International Trade Commission Investigations. Michael regularly advises clients on various IP related issues such as patent portfolio evaluation, acquisition and sale of IP, and both inbound and outbound licensing. In addition, Michael is regularly invited to present lectures and presentations to Taiwanese Law Schools and technology companies.

Prior to co-founding TechKnowledge, Michael was an associate at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich and Rosati and Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe in their Silicon Valley Offices.

Illustrative Professional Experience

Acer Inc. Michael represents Acer in numerous patent infringement disputes in the U.S. Michael served as lead counsel for Acer in a recent case in which Summary Judgment was granted in favor of Acer. Michael represented Acer in a number of patent infringement disputes with Hewlett-Packard Company before the U.S. International Trade Commission and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Michael also represented Acer in a patent infringement dispute with Tessera, Inc. before the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Nanya Technology Corporation. Michael represents this leading semiconductor company in numerous patent infringement disputes in the U.S., including patent infringement actions against Tessera, Inc., and Elpida Memory, Inc.

MiTAC International Corporation. Michael represents MiTAC and its subsidiaries in numerous patent infringement disputes in District Court. He has represented MiTAC against Plaintiffs such as e.Digital Corporation, Tramontane IP, LLC, CyberFone Systems, LLC, Walker Digital, LLC, and Visteon Global Technologies, Inc.

Beacon Navigation GmbH. Michael currently represents Beacon in multiple litigations involving car navigation systems against the world's largest automobile companies.
